At the University of Arkansas, housing isn't just about finding a place to stay—it's about crafting an experience that bridges on-campus convenience with off-campus freedom.

Through partnerships with apartment complexes near the Fayetteville campus, the university offers options for returning and transfer students looking for a balance of independence and community.

We currently still have about 200 beds available to returning and transfer students through the Best of Both Worlds program.

Apartment Living with Campus Benefits

University Housing has agreements with local apartment complexes such as The Marshall, The Cardinal and The Locale.

These options provide a variety of layouts, from one- and two-bedroom units to four-bedroom apartments with multiple bathrooms.

All these locations are chosen for their proximity to campus and convenient access to campus bus routes, ensuring students can stay connected to university life while enjoying more personal space.

Contracting and Costs

The housing contracting process for the 2025-2026 academic year began in October 2024, with room selection taking place in February 2025. A $240 pre-payment secures a spot, and final rates, approved by the Board of Trustees, will be available in June 2025.

You can receive $200 of that pre-payment back as long as you cancel by noon on March 1, 2025.

These apartments blend affordability with amenities tailored to student needs.

Meal Plans and Dining Options

Students living in university-managed apartments can take advantage of flexible meal plans, with dining dollars and meal swipes usable across the campus's diverse dining locations.

This includes popular spots like Chick-fil-A and Starbucks and local options like Slim Chickens. Plans range from unlimited swipes to block options for varying lifestyles and budgets.

By blending the best of campus life with the comforts of apartment living, the University of Arkansas ensures students can find housing that fits their needs, lifestyle, and academic goals. For more details, visit the University Housing page.
